For CPA and tax-preparation firms
Tax software written by the people who file the returns.
Built inside a CPA practice that has prepared more than 23,000 tax returns.
Rev is the tax, accounting and compliance platform built by a CPA firm for CPA firms — one sign-in for returns, books, payroll, 1099s and the phone.
Talk to us 24/7 — answered around the clock by Rev Agents.
The first firm on the platform is SK Financial CPA (Wesley Chapel, Florida).
The firm's clients never sign in to Rev; they use their firm's own portal.
Products
One platform, one sign-in
Rev Tax
Prepares and e-files federal and state returns, for individuals, businesses, exempt organizations, trusts and estates.
Rev Books
Bookkeeping with bank feeds, reconciliation and a trial balance that flows straight into the return.
Rev Payroll
Payroll runs, tax deposits, quarterly Form 941 and year-end W-2s, e-filed through the IRS's 94x program, with each pay run posted to Rev Books as a journal entry.
Rev 1099
1099 forms for payers and recipients, filed through the IRS's IRIS system (never the retired FIRE system), with corrections and recipient copies.
Rev Sales Tax
Sales-tax returns.
Rev Incorporation
Entity formation for new clients.
Rev Agents
The firm's AI phone agent: answers the firm's line around the clock, takes messages, and keeps a transcript and recording for staff.
Rev CRM
The firm's client records, messages, documents and work in one place.
Rev Insights
Every filed return stored and read into the database; for each one a plain-English analysis for the client: this year against last, where the income came from, what to watch.
How Rev works
What it does
One application, one sign-in
Tax, Books, Payroll, 1099, Agents and CRM in one frame, switched at the top. A client can have one product or all of them, and every list is kept by firm and by year. Sign in at app.rev.tax.
Rev e-files as the transmitter
Rev Tax, Inc. is an IRS Authorized e-file Provider (Software Developer and Transmitter), accepted in August 2026, and transmits through the IRS's Modernized e-File system directly, machine to machine. The firm stays the Electronic Return Originator. Rev never files without the preparer's two deliberate acts (select, then transmit) and never without a signed Form 8879 on record. Rev's return products are in IRS testing; production approval pending. Until the IRS grants it, Rev files no live return.
Every IRS business rule is checked before anything leaves
A return is held until Rev has run the IRS's own published rules against it and declares, per file, which rules ran. Every IRS rejection Rev has ever received became a permanent test.
Rev Capture — documents read on the firm's own hardware
W-2s, 1099s, K-1s and 1098s are read into the screens by models that run on the firm's own server. Client documents never leave the firm's hardware and never go to a public AI service. The preparer reviews every figure against the paper.
Jump to Input
Right-click any line of the printed return and see exactly which input boxes produced it, or the component lines of a total — every form, every package.
Ask Rev
A built-in assistant for preparers that answers from the IRS's instructions and the firm's own data, on the firm's own server, and lets staff report a problem from the page they are on.
